The “UN Women impact stories series”, updated quarterly, illustrates the human impact of UN Women’s work across the world, highlighting the partnerships that make this possible. These stories share how we and our many partners are striding forward to realize a better world for women and girls—one of equality and empowerment because that is what we do and who we are, as a leader, mobilizer, convenor, and provider of programmes.

The November 2021 edition marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence under the United Nations Secretary-General’s UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women campaign (UNiTE campaign)'s global theme “Orange the world: End violence against women now!”.

From providing psychosocial support to teenage mothers in Rwanda, changing behaviours and norms through faith-based leadership in Fiji, advocating for the rights of Roma women and girls in Ukraine, to ensuring that police response to domestic violence is gender-sensitive in Morocco, and raising awareness on gender-based violence at the community level in Haiti, these impact stories sample UN Women’s work on ending violence against women and girls globally, together with our partners.
